Pencils of Promise 2015 Annual Report

4/9/2016

Comments

From Pencils of Promise's latest annual report.  Delivering results! Since 2009, the cost of building a school has stayed constant - at US$25,000 (which schools about 100 students).  On-going costs to sustain a child through school is US$25 a year.

Pencils of Promise have just announced that they will be raising the cost of their school build to US$35,000 - fair enough - bet you can't name one thing that hasn't experienced inflation over the last 5 years.

So I need help! Another US$1,800 to go before I complete building my third school!

Remember US$25 / SG$35 is what a lunch?   A glass of wine? A cab right?  That can educate a child for a year.
